With a name as good as ‘Look Mum No Hands’ you hope it is going to be quirkily awesome. And it is. The founders of this bike café loved riding bikes and drinking good coffee. They brought these two passions together to create Look Mum No Hands on Old Street, and a second café/shop in the East End of London close to trendy London Fields. There are plentiful bike parking spots, a workshop of smiling mechanics, screenings of cycle sport and film and comfortable seats to rest wobbly post-ride legs.
Open from 7.30 weekdays (9am on weekends) through to 10pm, 7 nights a week for breakfast, lunch, tea and bar snacks. Choose a spot at a rugged wooden bench and treat tired, post-ride thighs to an iced craft beers or cup of coffee and large slab of cake.Fresh, seasonal produce is delivered daily and transformed into earthy salads, hearty soups, stews and their well-loved pies.
Bike rider or not this place is a ‘different gear’. An exceedingly chilled out spot serving substantial, honest and satisfying grub. Well worth a visit.
